Unveiling the 2023 ISPA Board: A Blend of New Enthusiasm and Proven Experience

Well, isn't this exciting? The International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) has just put the finishing touches on their 2023 Board of Trustees election. They've got six fresh-faced Trustees ready to take the reins for their first two-year term, while five of the old guard have been voted back in to serve another term.

The line-up of returning all-stars includes Johan Cleyman from Innofa USA LLC, Harold Earley of FXI, Michael Faus from Carpenter Co., Allen Platek of Tempur Sealy International, Brad Rogers from Ashley Furniture Industries, and Richard Skorpenske from Covestro. And who's new on the block? In their March meeting, the ISPA Board welcomed these rising stars: Karyn Bahls of Serta Simmons Bedding, David Binke from King Koil, Magali Castillo representing E.S. Kluft & Co., Adam Lava from A Lava, and Don Wright from Wright Creative Branding & Labels.

David Binke, one of the fresh recruits from King Koil, is no stranger to the industry. He's all fired up to pitch in and help out with the awesome stuff ISPA is doing. David is also keen to mingle with his fellow Board members and ISPA leadership, all with the goal of boosting the industry up another notch. His company, King Koil, has always been a big fan of ISPA's work and products. For David, being part of this Board is like a dream come true.

But here comes the bittersweet part. Kim Cobb from Wright Creative Branding & Labels is saying her goodbyes. After a stunning 35-year career in the bedding sector, Kim is stepping down from the Board and sailing into retirement in 2023. Her six-year stint on the ISPA Board was filled with opportunities to give back, learn, and help steer the industry in the right direction. Kim's truly grateful for the talent, dedication, and hard work that the ISPA staff and Board members put in, all to help folks everywhere achieve better sleep.

In the words of the ISPA President, Ryan Trainer, the Trustees' time and input are the secret sauce behind ISPA's work for the mattress industry. The Board is a diverse group of industry pros who are committed to seeing the industry thrive. They certainly deserve a big round of applause for their dedication and commitment to the cause.
